Even in the rain, I managed to play volleyball tonight until they shut the lights off. I truly love this sport!

Eric and I finally got our parents together for dinner tonight at the restaurant at The Elms (where our wedding will be). We had the entire restaurant to ourselves! And the evening went off without a hitch... it was a great time. :)

Since I'm going to the Ukraine later this summer, I decided to check out what immunizations are recommended. So I ended up with a shot for Hepatitis A & B, some pills for Typhoid, an antibiotic prescription, and plenty of other reading materials. I should be set now.

Today Kansas City held an open casting call for Deal or No Deal. Let me tell you... you can find out a lot about the general population by showing up for this type of event and wasting an entire afternoon standing in a line of thousands of everyday people.

Another unmotivated Friday afternoon where Pattye and I decided to hang out in Lisa's cube. I love this picture... it's really amazing how much you can tell about a person just by the shoes they wear.

There's always so much to chat about... like Mr. "Hacker McCoughy" (let's just say he has some kind of phlegm-y lung condition)....

... or about Pattye's unique 'only-1-in-10,000-people-can-do-it' talents.

The next two weeks indoor and outdoor sand volleyball overlap. So tonight I went from "Cold Turkey" (our indoor winter league name) to "Jive Turkey" (our outdoor sand league name) in the same night.

I didn't want to use the flash and distract the players, so my pictures were interesting. But I kinda like these blurs. Check out this cool hit motion by Al (at least I think that's Al).

One more week of bowling after tonight!

And tonight, my mother brought some 'mock-ups' of the bridesmaid dresses she'll be making. Of course, this is not the actual color... is will be a periwinkle blue instead. But she wanted to show me a couple of options for different fabrics used for the ruffle. The first picture shows the ruffle I like better... the second picture has both ruffles next to each other. (Just ignore the colors. ;)

What does everyone think? (Personally, I think either way, it's going to look great!)

Today I put together a mock-up of the kind of wedding bouquet I think I might want. It turned out better than I expected, although it's still not quite right (and not exactly realistic either)... but now I'm kicking around the idea of doing some of my flowers myself. Am I crazy for thinking about that?
